To the north of Belfast city,
A little piece of Heaven sits still,
She nestles in a tiny hollow,
Betwixt the black mountains and beautiful Cave Hill,
Ballysillan is the name she had been given,
With a Belfast postcode,
But to all who really know her
She is called “Turn of the Road”,
She was given this nickname
‘Cause she was built where the road bends round
From her fields there is a view of Belfast Lough and the Shipyard,
Which are both on the east side of town.
On a clear day can be seen the outline of the Mourne Mountains, sweeping gracefully to the sea
“The turn of the road is where I as born
It will always be special to me
